Éric Bellavance’s iA story
After ten years in IT services in Quebec City and Montreal, Eric joined our Group Savings and Retirement Administration team in 2008. Then, thanks to his diversified training and experience in the company, he decided in 2010 to make the jump into continuous improvement and take part in the implementation of iA’s corporate Continuous Improvement team.
At the heart of our ambition
The mission of the Organizational Performance and Culture team’s continuous improvement advisors is to fuel our ambition, which is to be the company that best meets client needs and expectations. To do this, the team provides guidance and support to managers and their teams so that they may optimize their business practices and offer the best service possible to their clients.
For Eric, his day-to-day is all about wearing many different hats. “I am called upon to play an advisory role and offer support to teams, lead workshops, teach concepts and develop knowledge related to the lean philosophy and tools.”
Professional development is a priority
Eric has had the opportunity to pursue his professional development goals thanks to access to numerous training sessions and coaching. Consequently, he has enhanced his proficiency in a variety of areas, including change management and organizational development. “We are extremely well supported and equipped to expand both our theoretical and practical knowledge, which ultimately allows us to develop our expertise and interpersonal skills.”
Continuous improvement at the heart of the team as well
The Organizational Performance and Culture team is extremely dynamic because its mission constantly changes and adapts as the company continues to integrate the lean culture. This leads to much discussion, exchange and peer support within the team and the company. “We have a lot of autonomy and must show initiative because new tools and methods are always in demand.”
“I consider myself very privileged because iA has always supported me in my career development, both in terms of the opportunities offered and by allowing me to take on exciting new challenges.”
